a) Moved: Joyce Brenner
Seconded: Lynne Way-White
That the club pay the cost ($78.00) of having two individuals from the A-1 group, not from the same family, take part in being trained in the use of the defibrillator at Calvin Presbyterian Church during the month of May.
Presently we have 2 certified defibrillators operators and 1 certified St. John's Ambulance person. There are others who have let their certification lapse.
b) Moved: Diane Campsell
Seconded:
That the club is in favour of having an All Position Dancing (sometimes known as Dance by Definition) day long session which would include moves from Mainstream and Plus. A professional caller as opposed to a club level caller would be used.
A significant amount of discussion was held. The idea that the club provide a subsidy was rejected. Maybe incorporate into other dances. Idea it would be mainly a workshop not a dance. Eventually Diane Campsell took on the task of finding out more details such as cost, time of year, caller etc.
c) Moved: Ken Brenner
Seconded: Keith Topps
That the club hold only two main dances each year-the fall dance and the Pizza Party Dance.
Again there was a lengthy discussion about eliminating one of our dances. Ideas of more known callers, more publicity, etc but in the end it agreed upon that no matter what we do we only have a certain area to draw from and that is Northern Ontario . Also getting volunteers to sign up for dances is requiring more effort. In the end motion is passes.

Also bring some flyers about our club to the Fair for enlisting Beginners.
