Minutes of Executive Meeting – 7 pm - June 8, 2011

•  Treasurer's Report - Yvette

Joyce suggested that on incomes under other dances that it be broken down to show income for each dance so that way we can see if that dance made or lost money

Expenses: $ 7 762.83 – Income: $ 6 964.85 – Closing balance:

$ 2626.13

Moved by Keith seconded by Joyce that the Treasure's report be accepted

•  Dates for our special dances

•  Fall Dance – Sat. Oct 22, 2011 – Mike Callahan

•  Pizza Party – Sat. Feb 11 or 18, 2012

•  DBD – Fri & Sat May 18 and 19, 2012 – Don Moger - information about Dance( times,type,cost ) be posted on our Web site however giving advice on available restaurants was discouraged – Diane passed out flyers giving details of Dance - have flyers available at Manitoulin and Summer Magic and our future dances

3. Dates for a) Christmas Pot Luck Supper - Thurs Dec 8 , 2011

•  St Patrick's Day (MARCH) Pot Luck- Thurs May 15, 2012

- both above dances in aft. & eve. at St. Peter's ( if available) also fall back date of Wed. for both dances

•  Last week of weekly dancing – last full week of April 2012

•  Date for Annual Supper – Wed April 18,2012 - idea of meeting, dance and then dinner was very successful this year and same for next year – however maybe have dinner a little later than 6 pm.

•  End of Year Supper – since the meal was excellent at the Wall this year it was decided to do the same - Diane will organize

•  Proposed Budget for 2010 -11

Est. Income- $ 5 650.00 – Est. Expenses- $ 6 087.00 – Change in Bank Balance –

$ 437.00

after some discussion and changes it was moved by Jean seconded by Diane that proposed budget be approved – passed

6. Other Items

•  Expenses – please keep receipts and give to Treasurer – include on receipt the nature of expense and your name

•  Location for A-1 dancing – Emmanuel United Church –on Lakeshore but parking approached from rear

•  Hall rental fees – moved by Keith –seconded by Don that rental fee be increased to $ 50.00

•  Canteen service – after some discussion it was decided to only offer water & candies ( if someone wants to bring cookies that is OK ) at Wed & Thurs dances – moved by Diane seconded by Don – passed
